15th Annual Realism Invitational, Klaudia Marr Gallery, Santa Fe, New Mexico

New work by more than 40 artists comprise the 15th annual Realism Invitational at the Klaudia Marr Gallery. Held each fall, the exhibition brings together artists from around the country and the world. Klaudia Marr says the annual exhibition "continues to offer a personal dialogue concerning the illusion and the real through finely painted, woven, sculpted and drawn works of art."
Internationally known art critic and historian, Edward Lucie-Smith, offers his view of realism. "What is fascinating about the idea of realism in art is that it continually slips from your grasp. Every time you think you've got hold of it, it vanishes again."
