A Passion for the Canyon

I have been reading your article about Gerd Nunner and his passion for the Grand Canyon, "A Passion for the Grand Canyon". Even though I have never been in the southwestern part of the States, this article makes me want to travel directly to the GC and meet Gerd and join his tours. Being an Ironman triathlete I can imagine the efforts and mental strength you need for this kind of challenge. Thanks for sharing Gerd's experience and keep on writing such incredible stories.

Wonderful U.S.A.

In our minds we will always remember with happiness the wonderful trip to the Grand Canyon and trips in the other parks of Utah and Arizona, as well as the 2008 journey to Yellowstone, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, wonderful U.S.A.! Ciao ciao ciao, Gerd, and BRAVO for your hikes!!!

Diving in Belize

Keep that vow to become certified! I have been diving for years and have always loved it. I have been to Ambergris Caye "On Ambergris Caye, Belize". I remember those zodiac-type boats and the mal de mer.  That was not the easiest place to dive. And as I remember, the site with the best fish was the marine sanctuary. I believe the locals eat just about anything, so the fish know where to go to be safe!  Interesting coral, though, on most of the dives.

Greek Wedding in Venice

Loved the article! ["Greek Wedding in Venice", Winter 2008-09]. It triggered remembrances of our last trips to Venice and to Greece. I followed every step of the way with the wonderfully descriptive writing. Lucky that they didn't have flooding as is happening now in Venice!

Santiago de Compostela

That was an amazing journey through Spain ["On The Pilgrim Trail," Summer 2008]. The photos were beautiful. Maybe it's time for "More From Our Photo Album" link? Just more of the great photos from each travel experience.
