Modern Dance at the Barbican Center, London, U.K.

[From Fall 2008]

The Mark Morris Dance Group stages a provocative new version of Romeo and Juliet at London's Barbican Center, the largest multi-arts venue in Europe. The Barbican offers an ongoing spectacle of dance, art, music, theater, and film. The Center is located in the City of London - off the more typical tourist beat, in the heart of London’s financial district. Take advantage of lower airfares from the U.S. and enjoy modern dance in London this fall.

Mark Morris Dance Group (November 5 – 8) returns to the Barbican, in collaboration with London Symphony Orchestra, to stage a provocative new version of Shakespeare’s iconic Romeo and Juliet. A dramatically altered ending will surprise audiences.
