Melissa Cicci, Editor

Melissa Cicci is the founder and editor of Beyond Doorways Travel. Melissa believes that a respect for others' language and culture is our most important responsibility when traveling. A simple "thank you" or "good morning" in the local language goes a long way toward mutual understanding.

Melissa earned a B.A. in Spanish and an M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University, and later spent many years working in the field of international textile/apparel trade policy. After calling the East Coast home for most of her life, she now lives with her family in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
